In this Screen Walk, Michael Berto will present The Zium, a virtual gallery and playable space for art. Since 2017, he has curated numerous exhibitions within The Zium, showcasing projects by international artists. While other mediums, such as cinema, have established distinct languages for artistic expression, the language of software is still evolving.
Berto will explore what he calls “the impossibility space” for art that is unique to software and video games. He will share artworks from various editions of The Zium that exist exclusively within these digital worlds.
